Launched in late 2016, the Gunboat 78 MY CAT is a state-of-the-art 77’78 (23.77m) sailing catamaran built for high speed and elite performance while maintaining all the creature comforts of a luxury yacht. She can reach speeds of up to 30 knots thanks to her lightweight construction in carbon fiber and full carbon rig.
Straight from the drawing boards of Nigel Irens Designs, her striking profile makes her one of the most stand-out catamarans on the water today. MY CAT’s reverse bows, aggressive chine and sheer-line result in a beautiful catamaran, further complimented by her huge bowsprit forward and a metallic blue paint job.
Impressively, MY CAT has been designed with hydraulically retractable daggerboards and rudders. These carbon foils improve performance and stability, making her incredibly seaworthy and effortlessly quick. When fully down, her draft reaches a depth of 3.35 meters but when up, her draft is only 1.3 meters, allowing access to even the shallowest bays and harbors.
